“I love animals and feel very strongly that people should not be allowed to buy a pet if they are not able to look after it. Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to some of our most commonly asked questions.
What are your hours?
Mon – Fri 11am – 7pm
Will puppies be at the store every day?
Unfortunately, no. If available, we may have 1 or 2 pups visiting the store during the week. The adoption events are scheduled for most Saturdays.
Visit: Www.LHAR.dog to see their available pups and review their Bio for their Wagsmore day or call the store to see if pups are visiting that day.
Can I bring my Dog to the store?
Yes, as long as they are fully vaccinated, friendly and leashed.
Do you have Cats for adoption?
We will in the near future. Our Cat Condo is on order. It will house 1 or 2 rescue kitties. We plan on working with the local non-profit (501c3) Cat rescue to help with the cat adoptions and to help educate us about the cats.
Do the dogs/puppies stay overnight at Wagsmore-Adopt & Shop?
No, they are picked up or returned to their foster family’s location after each day visit/adoption event.
What is the process for adopting?
Adoptions for the pups are processed through the Lonely Hearts adoption process. This requires an application to be filled out completely. Applications are available online– Www.LHAR.dog and the same application in paper form is available at the adoption events. *It is advised to apply online for a particular dog, otherwise, the pup may already be spoken for by the adoption event.
What is the cost to adopt?
Pups too young to spay/neuter:$350 = ($250 + a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit)
*Pups spayed/neutered by LHAR at 5-7 months = $350
*Adult dogs – Spayed/neutered = $250
Does Wagsmore board dogs or have a dog wash?
Not at this time.
